Thank you so much. I want you to know that my association with FACP over the past five years has been the most beneficial resource for me as a new member of the chamber profession. Our chamber is small (about 450 members) , but serves its business community well and acts as a voice for small businesses who would not otherwise be heard. Because we have limited financial resources and a staff of two, I was unable to attend the ACCE conferences or Institute, but I did attend
the FACP conferences and regional workshops. I cannot begin to tell you how much valuable information and contacts I gained by attending these events.
Our chamber grew and became a more "professional" chamber because of the many tools I brought back from these opportunities. From membership to governmental affairs to tips on board "management", I would write down everything and grab every newsletter and directory I could get my hands on to take back to my chamber for new ideas. I'm very grateful to all of you for investing your time to keep this organization alive and well. I was honored to be a member and grateful for all of the
chamber execs who took the time to share their advice, wisdom and experience with me. I would have been lost without FACP. The newsletter, surveys, webinars, Frank Ryll's mentorship, Shane Moody, Carol Roberts , Tricia Brunson, Pam Tedesco, Ted Corcoran, Art Kimbrough, all the NWFL Chamber execs, the late Jim Cherry and so many other execs that I met at the state conference who followed up with me throughout the year. All enabled
me to do my job well, gave me sound advice during those "challenging moments" and gave me a standard of excellence to aspire to.
Chamber execs are a unique "breed" who also definitely know how to have fun! What an amazing bunch!
I cannot begin to express the admiration and respect I have for chamber professionals and all that they do every day for their chamber members and their communities.
I'm so grateful for the experience and for all that FACP did for me.
